Energica have announced a new bike in their range, the Experia. They're marketing it as a "Green Tourer" and styling-wise I think it bears a passing resemblance to the BMW S1000XR, a cross between a sports-tourer and an adventure bike.
It is a completely new bike, rather than a derivative of the existing Ego/Eva platform. It has the largest battery (19.6kWh usable) fitted to a production bike, and a new motor (60kW continuous) with a claimed extra-urban range of 130 miles. As per the other Energica bikes the Experia is fitted with 24kW DC charging, as well as an on-board 3kW AC charger.
This all adds up to an interesting package that I'll keep an eye on. The website states that prices start from €25,590 with deliveries later in the year. So once there are demo bikes in the UK I'll look to arrange a test ride.
